fear of pregnancy than hiv.

It  has come to my suprise that even men support ladies when it comes to matter of abortion.sijui kama mtu aweza mwamini tena mtu asiyehofia uhai wako.nowdays ladies fear pregnancy than hiv.and the fact that there is no cure  for aids  apparently does not seem to bother most university students.we all know that young people are sexually active and unprotected sex is is the norm and as a result pregnancy is common..some prefer family planning, use of pills(p2)others go to an extent of becoming lesbians or having an abortion in fear of pregnancy ,some men also with the fear of fathering a child they become gays. Reason being they are not ready ,fear of what friends and family would say since you cant hide (pregnancy) the whole world know but for AIDS its you and your God who know your status.

kusema na kutotenda.

Am here wondering if my fellow comrades a mean the students leaders still buy these cheap lies.it has been 3weeks now since a read an article at students centre concerning the insecurity issue. The article was about implementation of security light construction of hostels and better roads leading to university ,clearing of bushes around university hostels and many more but till now the admnistration has not come clear about the issue again.Ni kusema na kutotenda.

ignorance

Sex is a biological need and we all know how important it is healthwise .we need it as much as we need food for our bodies, but what suprise mi most is the way people ignore the issue of protection, now that there is introduction of protection in schools and work place  and i know in campus its not strange to knock at your neighbours door at the hour of need to borrow a" protection"bt still find people play unsafe.i dont see the reason why someone should risk.its high time we watch our health.

campus love

Nowdays campus love is popular.Relationships have become part of our lives.people fall in and out of love all the time.show me a campus student who does not believe in love and i will show you a joker, womaniser and future less individual.on the other hand show me someone who believes in love and i will show you an individual with priorities and life goals well set out.its rare to marry young but some students are getting hitched before they've even graduated from university reasons known to themselves.some regards love as killing time or adding color some are pragmatic thnking its difficult to find a better partner after graduation and the purpose of others is just for seeking the impetus of study. The truth remains, love is a natural thing that grows anywhere for there is no one anywhere who is not looking for love.every human being on earth atleast wants to know he or she is cared for, loved and valued.

Life is all about choices whether good or bad happy or unhappy are the choices we make everday.when you clear about your purpose then it becomes much easier to say NO.No matter how good it sounds or how much validity it holds if it doesnt further your purpose then the answer is NO.Dobt let those ceaseless request pull you away from your goal and lose focus on where you find meaning.

Sometimes a day can be tiresome, boring or fablous but what matters  is the approach. How you wake up(time),your goals, and atitude are the key points.Dont follow the majority follow the right way.You will be suprised to find out how strong u are.As a student if you thinking of destiny remember your sleeples night how you used to work hard alongside your assignment.you deserve a better day.

First year experience

Life in campus as a student means alot of hard work.Everyone will have their own experience settling at university. You might be feeling a mixture of anxiety anticipation and even excitement from the term itself"university".Its normall to feel challenged by things which you might have not faced before, like independent learning, shared living, managing a budget, cooking and cleaning, organising your time, meeting people from different background and cultures and this means "responsibility" .Despite the challenges there are services that make you feel at home and this means "freedom" Things like clubs, sports and outings and for the wise this the time to find out more about who you are, your likes and dislikes, setting limits, establishing firmer friendship, some routine in your daily life and lastly discovering your passion and making a difference.

Time to rethink exam oriented education system

What ails our education system? This has been the question on the lips of many Kenyans especially now we are waiting exam for last year candidates.

The answer has previously been sought from few intellectuals like me and managers of our education system.

However, today the debate on how to deal with challenges facing the sector is no longer preserved of group of scholars who may sometimes make proposal from narrow intellectual perspective.

It is no longer tenable to assign academicians the subsidiary role of reforming our education system.

The broader society must now be involved including the media, religious leaders, parents and ordinary citizens.

Ordinary folk sometimes tend to have better instinct than those immersed in academics when it comes to real issues facing a country.

Commentators on education matter have highlighted our preoccupation with examinations as one of the problems and blamed this trend for deteriorating standard of education.

Indeed, recent reports of leaked test papers circulating freely in our country strengthens this position.

The temptation to cheat can be irresistible to students because KCSE result can change a candidate’s life for the worse.

The few who break out in their respective trades irrespective of their average showing in the national exams do so either through their own curiosity and tenacity to explore a world that transcends examination or are lucky enough to get someone to call out the creativity in them.

How many of us have touched the vast majority of the curriculum covered in high school or college? The current situation where everyone is forced to study the same way must come to an end.
